My offensive philosophy and system will adapt to personnel. However, the numbered motion offense serves as the base, providing flexibility to any team. When plays or sets break down, it remains the core of our offense. We can adapt this to man or zone utilizing flashers, post and multiple options.
In addition to the numbered motion offense, we've run several different continuity offenses in the past and that will be determined by need of team and based on personnel.
OFFENSIVE QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER?
What OFFENSE fits the personnel?
Will it work against the best team in the league?
Will it work against the best team in the division/state?
Can't be good at EVERYTHING.
Other Things to Consider on Offense
Doesn't matter what you install if you can't break a press or bring the ball over half court. GOTTA Focus on Press Break and Pressure Releases.
Need to have a BASE Motion in case plays or stuff breaks down. So implement Numbered Motion.
Zone Offense - Keep it similar to Base Motion with Zone rules.
Need to have Quick Hitter for best player, shooter and post player.
